Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: October 20, 2026
If you commented on, messaged or followed a link from a business that uses dmswift
We store what Meta sent us when you interacted with that business's Facebook Page or Instagram account: your platform ID, name or username, profile picture link, your comments and messages and the replies sent to you, plus any notes the business added. You can have it deleted in two ways:
- Through Facebook. Go to Settings & privacy › Settings › Apps and websites, find dmswift and choose Remove. Meta sends us a deletion request; we delete the data automatically and Facebook shows you a confirmation code. You can check its status below.
- By email. Write to privacy@dmswift.com with your name or username on Facebook or Instagram and the business you interacted with. We may ask you to confirm it is you. We delete the data within 7 days and confirm by email (at the latest within 30 days).
If you are a dmswift customer
- Delete your account: Settings › Data › Delete account. Everything is erased immediately and your subscription is cancelled. You can download a copy first in Settings › Data.
- Disconnect a channel: Settings › Channels. Its data is kept 90 days in case you reconnect, then deleted automatically. To have it deleted sooner, email privacy@dmswift.com.
- Remove dmswift in Facebook (Apps and websites): your connected channels are disconnected right away and their data is deleted after 90 days. If you choose to delete the data when removing the app, the channels you connected are erased immediately.
Backup copies are overwritten within 30 days, after which no copy of deleted data remains.
